Meet the Team
Marianne Pelletier
Managing Director
Marianne Pelletier has over 35 years of experience in fundraising, with the majority in prospect research and prospecting. She is one of the first adopters of donor modeling and data mining techniques, and is now a world-renown leader on this segment of the research profession. Her prospect research positions include analyst and department head for Harvard University, Lesley University, Carnegie Mellon University, and Cornell University.
Pelletier’s career also includes running an annual giving program with average increased revenues of 27% per year and providing software consulting through the Datatel Corporation, teaching clients both how to use their new software and assisting them with better analysis and more efficient processing.
A recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the New England Development Research Association and a Woman of the Year designation by the National Association of Professional Women, Pelletier has served as a volunteer for both election campaigns and social service agencies. She most recently served on her local chapter of Habitat for Humanity and ended her board membership with the Finger Lakes chapter of AFP as president.
Pelletier is a graduate of Rockford University, and earned her MBA at Southern New Hampshire University. Her recent workbook, Building Your Analytics Shop: A Workbook for Nonprofits, is available both on Amazon.com and on this website.
Gregory Duke, bCRE-PRO
Partner, Database Services
For over 20 years, Greg Duke has worked in fundraising organizations in the United States and the United Kingdom, working primarily in database management and prospect research.
Duke helps Raiser’s Edge clients to optimize their database by implementing data clean-up techniques and creating reporting structures, including dashboards and SQL queries. He also facilitates data imports into Raiser’s Edge and database administration.
Duke has worked at the University of Oxford, Niagara University, Florida International University, and the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has lectured at several APRA International and regional conferences, and previously taught a fundraising course at Niagara University. Duke earned a D.Phil in modern history from Jesus College, University of Oxford.

Ruth M. Giles, bCRE-PRO
Partner, Prospect Development
A thought leader in the field of prospect management, Ruthie has worked in prospect research and prospect management since 2000. She has spoken on the topic of prospect management at APRA, CASE and NEDRA conferences, as well as to regional nonprofit professional groups.
Ruthie has held positions at the University of New Hampshire, Westfield State University, Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, Harold Grinspoon Foundation, The Loomis Chaffee School, and the Williston Northampton School. She is a member of the New England Development Research Association’s board of directors. She is the former Board President of the AIDS Foundation of Western Massachusetts and the former Board Vice President for Women in Philanthropy of Western Massachusetts.
Ruthie holds a BA from Smith College, a MBA from University of Massachusetts at Amherst – Isenberg School of Management, and a MS in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy from Bay Path University. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Institute for Political and Public Impact, through the Women’s Fund of Western Massachusetts.

Wilfred Bailey II
Associate, Data Management
Bailey brings over 15 years of experience to the Information Technology field. He served in the US Air Force as a Computer Programmer, and has provided Information Technology services as a database manager for a number of university foundations. Bailey brings his Raiser’s Edge NXT, Financial Edge NXT, and Blackbaud CRM experience to Staupell clients, as well as his ability to configure a wide range of plug-ins and add-ons necessary for successful fundraising shops. Bailey also provides training to empower users to be more familiar and comfortable with the applications they use.
Bailey earned a BS in Business Management from University of Phoenix.
Kylie Ortity
Associate, Database Administration
Kylie’s passion for nonprofit developed as a young child and 10 years later she continues to be excited about technology, software and how the nonprofit world is changing.
Kylie has held positions with the United Way, Give Kids The World, Make-A-Wish, the University of Central Florida and Breakthrough Collaborative. She’s been involved with individual giving, third-party fundraising, donor recognition and manipulating many software platforms, but specifically Salesforce.
Kylie continues to grow her experience with Salesforce to make the most sense of a nonprofit’s data to help them to make strategic decisions around fundraising. She also helps the data to be viewable in a digestible and visual way.
Kylie received her bachelor’s degree in English from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Central Florida where she received her master degree in Nonprofit Management and a certificate in Fundraising. Kylie also is a Certified Nonprofit Professional through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.
